During his intervention, at the dialogue for peace table, mayor Jorge Rodriguez mentioned something key when he explained that the only thing that is asked from the opposition is the recognition of the "other". It is a logical and fair request, because the only thing the opposition has done since the beginning of the bolivarian revolution is pay no attention, ignoring both its adversary and its achievements, claims and conquests.
The idiosyncrasy of the position simulate civility, fairness, tolerance and democratic disposition before politics, but what every Venezuelan observes on paper is the opposite. Its ideological conception, that they themselves assume as 100% accurate and devoid of errors, crystallizes daily through intransigence and stubbornness. All which refutes their arguments and affirmations, is not seen or recognized.
The determination and stubbornness is the column of behavior that governs their actions. That is why we hear today the same arguments used during more than a decade. there is no doubt in them and they project complete conviction at the time of repeating lies. Not recognizing the adversary, they pretend to annihilate it. They rise up as possessors of all reason, and that is what takes them to assume that the "other" should not be heard because is wrong.
Since they "are right", this presumption completely obstructs their capacity to reflect and recognize the errors. They don't change the course and continue, as a raging bull, thrusting again and again the red cape that waves before their eyes. They have never recognized one error, never admitted one failure, much less grant the reason to a political actor contrary, the chavism.
When we see the opposition leadership repeat one and once again the same lies that give virtual sustainability to its political ideology, economic and social, there is no doubt that such propagandist speech it's fused with the distorted perception that they have of the national reality. It is to say, since a very long time they have gone from "telling lies" to believing their own lies. We see them seating on a table of dialogue, lying, cheating, drawing their reality without acknowledging "the other". All Venezuela sees them seating with a script on their hands, showing good will, but deep inside thinking "speak, that I do not hear you".
